What are SWR pipes?

SWR stands for soil, waste and rainwater. These rigid PVC pipes carry used water, sewage and storm water away from buildings. They are lightweight, corrosion-free and have a smooth bore that resists blockage. CANTER SWR pipes are manufactured by Suvega Innovations at our plant in Pipalkhiriya, Raisen, Madhya Pradesh.

Self-fit and ring-fit

Self-fit

Socket-and-spigot pipes joined with solvent cement. A simple, economical and widely used jointing method for building drainage.

Ring-fit

Pipes joined with a rubber sealing ring in the socket, which allows for thermal movement and makes assembly quick.

Why choose CANTER SWR

FAQ

SWR pipes - common questions

What does SWR mean?

SWR means soil, waste and rainwater - the pipe system that carries sewage, used water and storm water away from a building.

What is the difference between self-fit and ring-fit SWR pipes?

Self-fit pipes are joined with solvent cement. Ring-fit pipes use a rubber sealing ring in the socket, which allows some movement and speeds up assembly.

Can SWR pipes be used for hot or pressurised water supply?

No. SWR pipes are made for gravity drainage. For pressurised cold water use UPVC pressure pipes, and for hot-and-cold water use CPVC.

Do you supply SWR pipes to dealers and contractors?
